RiverRun Rafting. World Class!

On Earth there is no heaven, but there are pieces of it.

Each year, more people return to RiverRun Rafting and Wilderness Resort to experience the incredible thrill of whitewater rafting on the Ottawa River. Now RiverRun has been selected as an Ontario Signature Experience by the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation to signify an exceptional travel experience in Canada. Authentic and immersive showcasing the natural beauty of this part of Ontario, this is an adventure for people wanting to live a life less ordinary.

Choose between our traditional 12-passenger whitewater rafts and our exclusive 6-passenger sport rafts – on any trip. RiverRun Rafting offers large groups the opportunity to customize trip times.

Start and end your rafting adventure at our beautiful 165-acre resort – located just below the last major set of rapids.  No bus rides or boat tows back to your dry clothes.  The hot showers, sauna and our welcoming pavilion is just a short walk away. Ottawa River Provincial Park is next to us and is only a short drive from the World Famous “Algonquin Park”.

Big Rafts & High Adventure

Our most popular raft trip is our 12 passenger High-Adventure Raft Trip. This big raft offers lots of whitewater fun and is perfect for first-timers, groups and families…a little more raft and a great Canadian experience!

Sport Rafts & Ultimate Adventure

RiverRun pioneered the sport raft program on the Ottawa River over 20 years ago and we can confidently say “we do it best”. Our rafts are custom made for us by Sotar. Lighter in weight and with extra cross tubes, allowing you and our guides the maximum fun and experience available in whitewater!

Family Rafting & Heritage Tour

For the young and “young at heart”, join us for this gentle water raft trip on the Middle Channel of the river. With just enough whitewater to make it fun there’s plenty to see and learn about this historical river.

Our Resort & Accommodations

With over 4000 feet of beautiful shoreline on the Ottawa River, RiverRun Rafting & Wilderness Resort offers the best location on the river. The resort property is the arrival point for your day of adventure with a short bus ride to put-in. Located just below the last set of major rapids you will arrive back at the resort for hot showers, your dry clothes, a cool refreshement at our lively pub while enjoying a video re-run presentation of your trip. No wet bus rides or long boat tows at the end of your day!
Camping, meals and a choice of affordable accommodations are available to overnight stays.

We just completed the two day Ultimate Adventure Rafting trip and all 5 of us had a blast. Your staff is fantastic, always helpful, friendly, very hard working and the emphasis on safety can't be overstated. I brought 4 teenagers and both Gwin and John were fantastic guides and I wasn't worried about anyone's safety. We really enjoyed Gwin's sense of humour and his knowledge of the river. John was great in the small raft as he recognized my youngest son had concerns and although he encouraged him to take part in each of the rapids, there was never any pressure and there was always an option to join a larger raft (which he did once).......by the end of the day my youngest was doing the rock slap and the rope pull over and I was confident that John was looking after him. John also had great knowledge of the river and I really appreciated his calm demeanour especially entering the Endo! The meals were great and Drew and the other safety kayaker's were fantastic. Gwin said if we didn't feel it in our core, we weren't paddling correctly.......trust me, at 46 I now know what a core is as I'm still feeling it, but the kids now want to come back in the spring for high water! Hard forward! See you in the spring, the Lavallee's from Barrie.
